Supported Formats

Arketic supports a wide range of file formats. Each type is processed to extract the most useful information.


Document Files

Image Files

Text is read from images automatically — great for scanned documents, photos of whiteboards, or screenshots.


Audio Files

Audio is supported in chat attachments — attach a recording to a conversation and its speech is transcribed to text, so you can ask questions about it (e.g. "List the action items from this meeting recording").

Audio files are not uploaded to My Documents or the Knowledge Base — use chat for audio.


What's NOT Supported

  • Video files (MP4, MOV, AVI)
  • Executable files — blocked for security
  • Password-protected or encrypted files — remove the protection first

Processing

After upload, files are processed automatically — text extraction, then indexing for search and AI use. Small files take seconds; large ones a bit longer. In chat, wait for the green ✓ before sending.


Tips

  • PDF is the most reliable format — when you have a choice, use it
  • Scanned documents work — clarity affects accuracy
  • Clear audio transcribes better in chat
