Org Chart

The Organization Chart is a visual map of your company — departments, the positions inside them, and the people who fill those positions — all on one interactive canvas.

:::info Access The Org Chart is available to Admins (full view and editing) and Executives (view only). Members don't see it. :::

What You See

  • Header stats — a quick summary like positions · filled · empty · average fit
  • C-Level — a highlighted box at the top for your executives
  • Department tree — departments and sub-departments connected by lines
  • Teams — shown in the tree with their own style
  • Unassigned Users — a section listing people not yet placed in the chart

Department Cards

Each department card shows:

  • The department name
  • Its manager (or No manager if none is set)
  • A headcount indicator — filled and empty position slots
  • A small badge if the department contains an admin

Getting Around

The chart is a zoomable canvas:

  • Pan — click and drag an empty area
  • Zoom — hold Ctrl and scroll, or use the zoom controls at the bottom-left (, the percentage button to reset, +)
  • Fit to view — the chart centers itself when you open it

Click a department card to open its detail panel on the right.

Department Detail Panel

Selecting a department opens a side panel showing:

  • The manager and description
  • Positions count (filled / total) and sub-departments count
  • A positions list — each position, the people assigned to it, and any empty slots

From here (as an admin) you can assign a person to an empty slot or remove someone from a position. Positions, role definitions, and fit analysis are covered in Positions.

Tips

  • Keep managers assigned — cards clearly show departments missing a manager
  • Place people in positions — the headcount indicators make gaps easy to spot
  • Use a desktop — the chart needs a wide screen and isn't available on mobile
