Managing Documents

Find, organize, filter, and manage your uploaded documents.


Document List

Your documents appear as a list on the My Documents page, showing:

  • File name and type icon
  • Access level badge (Personal, Team, Department, etc.)
  • Upload date
  • File size

Searching Documents

Use the search bar at the top of the page to find documents by name.

Type a keyword and results filter instantly. The search looks at file names.

tip

For searching by content (what's inside the document), use the AI chat instead: "Find documents about vacation policy"


Filtering

Filter your documents by:

FilterOptions
Access LevelPersonal, Team, Department, Organization, Confidential
File TypePDF, Word, Excel, Image, Audio, etc.
DateUpload date range

Viewing Document Details

Click a document to see:

  • Full file name and metadata
  • Access level
  • Upload date and file size
  • Who uploaded it

Changing Access Level

If you need to share a document more broadly (or restrict it):

  1. Click the document
  2. Find the access level setting
  3. Change it to the desired level
  4. Save

Only the person who uploaded the document (or an admin) can change its access level.


Deleting Documents

  1. Find the document in your list
  2. Click the delete icon or option
  3. Confirm deletion
caution

Deleted documents are permanently removed. The AI will no longer be able to reference them in conversations.


Document Types at a Glance

Each document shows an icon based on its type:

📝Word (.docx)
📊Excel (.xlsx)
📰PowerPoint (.pptx)
🖼️Image (PNG, JPG, etc.)
🎵Audio (MP3, WAV, etc.)
📋Other (CSV, HTML, JSON, etc.)

Tips

  • Review your documents periodically — delete outdated files to keep your library clean
  • Use appropriate access levels — don't make everything "Organization" unless it needs to be
  • Remember: chat attachments ≠ documents — files sent in chat aren't saved to My Documents. Upload separately if you want to keep them
