Help & Support
Help & Support is the help page inside Arketic. You can ask a question in your own words and get an answer taken from this documentation, read the answers to a handful of common questions, jump straight to a screen, open the documentation site, and look up the keyboard shortcuts.
Opening Help & Support
There are two ways in:
| How | Details |
|---|---|
| Click Help & Support | It sits at the bottom of the sidebar, between Settings and your user card. It is there for every role — also for an account that has no other access yet |
Press ? | Works anywhere in Arketic, as long as you are not typing in a text field. You can switch this key off — see Keyboard shortcuts |
What is on the page
From top to bottom:
| Part | What it is for |
|---|---|
| The question box | Ask the help assistant anything about how Arketic works |
| The filter box | Narrow down the questions, screens and shortcuts written on the page |
| Common questions | Short written answers to the questions people ask most |
| Go to a screen | Cards that open the screens you can reach |
| Documentation | A link to this documentation site |
| Keyboard shortcuts | The shortcuts that work in Arketic, and the switch for the ? key |
Asking the help assistant
The page opens with a greeting from the help assistant and a box to type in.
:::info What the help assistant can and cannot see The help assistant answers from the product documentation and shows you which pages it used. It cannot see your workspace, your files or your conversations. For anything about your own account or your access, your administrator is the right person. :::
- Type your question in the box that shows "Ask about Arketic…".
- Press Enter, or click the arrow button at the end of the box.
- Wait for the answer. A card shows your question after You asked:, the message "Reading the documentation — answers usually take 50 to 100 seconds.", and a counter with the time that has passed.
- The answer appears under the question box.
While you wait, the pages the assistant is reading are listed under Reading these pages. Click one to start reading it yourself — see Opening a source.
Stopping a question
Click Stop on the waiting card if you don't want to wait. You see "Stopped. Your question is back in the box — edit it and ask again whenever you’re ready." The pages that were already found stay listed under Pages it had found.
A question that takes very long stops by itself after four minutes. You then see "That one ran past four minutes, so I stopped waiting. It is worth asking again." with an Ask it again button.
Reading an answer
| Part of the answer | What it does |
|---|---|
| The answer text | Explains the steps. Small numbers in the text point to the page each statement comes from — click a number to open that page |
| Take me there | Buttons for the screens the answer names, three at most. Click one to open that screen. Only screens you can reach get a button |
| Where this came from | The documentation pages the answer is based on. Each one carries a Documentation or Website label, so you can see what kind of page it is |
| "2 of the 8 pages it read weren’t needed for this answer" | Click this line to see the pages the assistant read but did not use. The numbers change with each answer |
Clicking a Take me there button leaves the help page, and that ends the conversation — the page says so: "Opening a screen ends this conversation." Read the whole answer first.
If the answer names a screen that only administrators have, there is no button for it. A note tells you that it is an administrator screen and that your administrator can do that part.
Opening a source
Click a page under Where this came from, or a number in the answer. The page opens in a panel at the side, with the passage the answer used marked. The icon at the top of the panel opens the original page in a new browser tab.
If the answer arrives while you are reading a page, the panel shows "Your answer is ready behind this page." with a Read it button.
Asking again and starting over
- Ask a follow-up. Type the next question in the same box. The newest answer is shown at the top and the earlier ones stay below it. The assistant takes your last three questions and answers into account.
- Change the subject. Click Start over first. It clears the conversation, so the old topic doesn't steer the next answer.
- One question at a time. While an answer is being prepared the box shows "Answering…" and you can't send another question.
:::note The conversation is not kept The page says: "This conversation stays in your browser — it ends if you refresh or leave this page." Nothing is saved to your chat history. If you need an answer later, copy it before you leave the page. :::
When the assistant can't answer
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| A short reply saying the answer was not found, and "I’ve noted this question, so our documentation can cover it." | The documentation doesn't cover your question | Click Ask it differently to put the question back in the box and reword it, or Search the documentation to open the documentation site. The pages that came closest are listed under Closest pages it looked at |
| "This one is on us, not on your question — it is worth asking again." | The assistant couldn't be reached just now | Click Ask it again |
| A red card, for example "The assistant could not finish that one. This is on us, not on your question." | Something went wrong while answering | Click Ask it again |
| "The documentation index is still being built, so I can’t answer questions yet." under the question box | The assistant isn't ready yet | Use Common questions, or open the documentation site |
Under the question box, a small line that starts with "Documentation refreshed" gives the date the documentation the assistant reads was last refreshed, and how many pages it covers.
Filtering the page
Below the assistant is a smaller box that shows "Filter the questions below". Type a word and the page keeps only the common questions, screen cards and shortcuts that contain it.
The filter looks only at what is written on this page. It does not search the documentation — ask the help assistant for that.
If nothing matches, you see "None of the questions on this page match …" with two buttons: Open the documentation and Clear the search.
Common questions
Eight questions are answered on the page itself. Click a question to open its answer; click it again to close it.
| Question | Button under the answer |
|---|---|
| How do I change my password? | Open Profile |
| A colleague can see a screen that I cannot. Why? | — |
| How do I add someone to the workspace? | Open Users |
| Where do my uploaded files go? | Open Documents |
| How do I start working with an assistant? | Open Assistants |
| What is a workflow, and how is it different from an assistant? | Open Workflows |
| Can anyone outside my organisation see our data? | — |
| Something looks broken. What should I do? | — |
A button appears only when you can reach that screen. A team member, for example, sees no Open Users button.
Go to a screen
This section shows a card for each screen you can reach, with its name and a one-line description. Click a card to open the screen.

- Type part of a screen's name in the filter box to see every card that matches.
The cards you get depend on your roles and on your organization's package — you never see a card for a screen you can't open.
