Completion Conditions

Completion conditions (also called done conditions) make sure a task is truly finished before it can be marked complete. Admins and managers set them when creating or editing a task.

How It Works

  1. You do the work on the task
  2. Before marking it Done, you fulfill all required conditions
  3. Each condition shows whether it's met or still pending
  4. The task can only move to Done once all required conditions are met

Condition Types

TypeWhat You Do

DateSelect a date

FileUpload a required file (auto-met when a matching file is uploaded)

FormulaA calculated condition the system evaluates
info

Conditions created from a Form Template can also appear as text areas, number fields, date pickers, single-choice, or multi-select — plus display-only headings and notes.

Completing Conditions

  1. Open the task
  2. Find the conditions section
  3. Fulfill each one — check items, type text, enter numbers, pick dates, upload files
  4. Once all required conditions are met, mark the task Done

For approvals, the reviewer clicks Approve or Reject. For dependencies, the condition clears automatically when the other task finishes.

If Conditions Aren't Met

  • The task can't move to Done until all required conditions are fulfilled
  • A Blocked badge appears when a dependency task isn't finished yet
  • You'll see how many conditions are still pending
info

Only a manager or admin can change or remove conditions. If one looks wrong, contact them.

Tips

  • Complete conditions as you go — don't leave them all to the end
  • Have files ready for file conditions before marking done
  • Follow up on dependencies — a blocked task can't close until the other one does
