Time Tracking & Business Hours (Admin)

Arketic tracks task timing automatically — there are no manually configured SLA policies to set up. As an admin, your job is to make sure each department's business hours are correct, so timing is fair and accurate.

info

Manually configured SLA policies (response/resolution times) have been retired in favor of automatic time tracking. Timing is now based on each task's estimate or dates, measured within business hours.

How Timing Works

Each task is timed against a target, taken from (in order):

  1. The task's Estimated Hours
  2. Its Start / End date range
  3. An SLA target, when one applies

Only business hours count toward the target. See Time Tracking for the user-facing view.

Setting Business Hours

  1. Go to Tasks → Settings
  2. Open Business Hours for the department
  3. Set the start and end times and the working days
  4. Save

Configure this for every department, since durations are calculated per department.

Monitoring

  • SLA Compliance and resolution times appear in the Performance and Dashboard tabs
  • Watch for Over time / Late badges on tasks
